Camping Rates (as of January 15, 2007) are:
Tents - $18 per night
Campers/RVs - $20 per night
Walk In sites - $15 per night
Senior citizens (62 and over) 20% off above
Disabled veterans - 25% off above (with Certificate of Eligability card)
Rules
Campsite occupancy (maximum):
6 persons per site, and
2 tents, or
1 tent and 1 camper/rv
2 vehicles
Quiet hours begin at 10PM and end at 7AM. Guests are asked to be at their campsites and hold noise to a minimum during this time.
Campground shelter available free of charge for approved groups (please contact park office in advance for information and availability).
Other rules:
· Park gates lock each night at 10:00 pm and are opened each morning at 7:00 am. The exit gate has a combination lock. This number will be provided to overnight guests upon check-in.
· All vehicles must have, and display, a valid Georgia Park Pass.
· Quiet hour begins at 10:00 pm and ends at 7:00 am. During this time please stay at your cottage or camp-site. Keep noise at a low level.
· Pets are allowed in the campground. However, they must remain on a leash no longer than 5 feet.
· Alcoholic beverages are allowed provided they are kept INSIDE cottages, RV’s, or tents. The use of alcoholic beverages outside of these areas is strictly prohibited.
· Please do not leave trash around your camp-site. This is unsightly and attracts wild animals.
· The speed limit throughout the park is 15 mph (5 MPH IN CAMPGROUND LOOP). This is strictly enforced. Violators are subject to receive a citation.
· Fishing is allowed in the lake during daylight hours. For persons over 16 years of age a valid Georgia Fishing License is required. Statewide fishing rules and limits apply. Fishing is not allowed in the spring or hatchery ponds.
· Private boats are allowed in the lake, however, the following horse-power restrictions apply: 7:00 am-11:00 am and after 6:00 pm no greater than 9.9 hp; between the hours of 11:00 am and 6:00 pm there is no horsepower restriction, though no more than two motorized boats may use the lake at the same time. Boats are only allowed in the water during daylight hours.
· Firearms are not allowed on Georgia’s State Parks. Guests must keep any firearms in their possession locked away out of sight in their vehicle.
· Pioneer camping guests are not allowed the use of campground restrooms.
· Fire wood is sold at the park office or Campground Host site. Guests may also use any wood which is already on the ground. All cottages have a fireplace or wood burning stove. All campsites have a fire ring. Fires are limited to these areas.
· Tent camping is limited to the campground. No tents, or RV’s, are allowed at cottages.
· Use of metal detection devices is prohibited. Artifacts are protected by Georgia law.
